This course would suit you if you are interested in working in the farming industry and enjoy working outdoors, with farm animals, machinery and in construction.

What modules are covered?

Mandatory units:

  • Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the workplace
  • Communicate information within the workplace
  • Maintain and store records within the workplace
  • Identify, monitor and maintain appropriate conditions for livestock
  • Plan the preparation and use of tractors and attachments.

Optional Units: - These are chosen by your tutor and employer and can include:

  • Prepare, monitor and cultivate sites for planting crops
  • Monitor and maintain harvesting operations
  • Deliver basic treatments to livestock
  • Maintain, monitor and evaluate the provision of feed and water to livestock.
What qualifications will I get?

Apprenticeship Level 3 Work-based Diploma in Agriculture (Mixed Farming)
Functional Maths and English Level 2

How will I be assessed?

You`ll need to build a portfolio of work, complete assignments and to pass a range of external assessments.
